Description
DEI Reflect-A-Gold Adhesive Heat Shield — Metalized Polyimide Thermal Barrier Protect critical components from extreme heat with the DEI Reflect-A-Gold Adhesive Heat Shield. This metalized polyimide thermal barrier combines high-temperature performance with a thin, easy-to-apply adhesive backing—ideal for firewalls, engine covers, intake areas, fuel cells, seat bottoms and other spaces vulnerable to heat soak. High temperature resistance: Handles continuous temperatures up to 800°F. Durable construction: Metalized polyimide laminated to lightweight glass fiber cloth for excellent thermal reflectivity and tear resistance. Adhesive-backed: High-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive stays put—minimal clearance application without lifting. Adhesive protected by a release liner rated up to 325°F. Ultra-thin profile: Just 0.0065 in. thick for tight clearances and space-constrained installations. Long-term performance: Resists UV degradation for reliable protection in exposed environments. Easy to install: Cut to size and bond to surfaces—saves time over bulky insulation options. Applications: Use around firewalls, bulkheads, engine compartments, under hoods, transmission tunnels, intake systems, seat bottoms and other areas requiring thermal shielding. Note: do not apply directly to exhaust components. DEI Reflect-A-Gold delivers a lightweight, adhesive thermal shield that reflects radiant heat and prevents heat soak—helping extend component life and improve performance in high-temperature environments.
